About

Highly-trained and award-winning, here is the background to where Dr Emma is today.

Emma qualified as a dentist in 2002 from the University of Bristol, UK, winning the prestigious Gold Medal for the best graduating student, together with Distinctions and University prizes.

Following a year working in dental practice in London Emma spent two years in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery hospital posts in London, working at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust, including the Eastman Dental Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, and Guy's and Kings' Hospitals NHS Trusts. Emma says ‘on reflection these early years were the best career foundation that one could ask for, giving me huge professional experience in practice and hospital, the basis of me going on to train as a specialist.’

During this time, just two years after qualifying as a dentist, Emma gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004.

To train as an Orthodontic Specialist Emma was accepted for Postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London, gaining a Masters in Science Degree with Distinction of the University of London in 2007. And she qualified as an Orthodontic Specialist in 2008, by gaining the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Subsequently Emma has been continually working, based in Specialist Practice in London and the South-East, and now just in Harley Street. Over the 10 years since becoming a Specialist she has treated thousands of adults and children, with the years of training now merged into years of professional experience.
